Fair for Life
The new social label
Pukka sets new fair and social standards with Fair for Life. Behind the label, which is still unknown in Switzerland, is one of the fairest and most transparent social certifications in the world. In contrast to other fair trade labels, which usually only control the fair conditions in the country of cultivation, Fair for Life guarantees that everyone in the supply chain, from cultivation to intermediate trade to transport to Pukkaherb’s parent company in Europe, is treated and paid fairly. We find this very important, because unfortunately in recent times not only the “second and third world” suffers from exploitation. Read more at www.fairforlife.orgFairWild
Protect wild plants and ecosystems
The FairWild Fundation promotes the sustainable harvesting of wild herb collections worldwide. Wild collections pose a major environmental and social challenge. Overharvesting can severely threaten fragile ecological and social systems. More than 50 percent of all herbs for commercial purposes are harvested wild. FairWild protects wild plants from extinction and protects the livelihoods of harvesters, most of whom come from the poorest social groups. FairWild tries to prevent this through training of the collectors and guaranteed prices and purchase quantities. Pukka is one of the pioneering companies under this label. Our planet cannot wait!
Pukka is a member of 1% for the planet. 1% for the planet is a global movement of entrepreneurs who donate at least 1% of their annual turnover to non-for-profit organizations. The donations are invested in sustainable, social and environmental projects to protect Mother Earth. Initiated in 2002 by Patagonia founders Yvon Chouinard and Craig Mathews, the network now consists of more than 1,800 member companies and thousands of non-profit partners in more than 50 countries. Members have donated more than 29 billion pounds since 2002. Read more at www.onepercentfortheplanet.orgBio

Co-founder of Pukka
“To live more sustainably, we need to live more mindfully and consciously. Take time to relax and meditate. It will help bring boundless spaciousness and more energy into your life. It will help you make important decisions correctly. Eat, drink and wear more organic – everyone benefits. Eat less meat and more vegetables, because livestock consume a lot of natural resources. Make a choice with your money, change your life and with it the world.“
